Life After Death Book: What Happens When We Die?

What happens when we die? Various cultures and religions offer diverse perspectives on this mysterious transition. This blog will delve into what God says about life after death.

What happens when we die? Much has been said and written about what happens when we die and the mysteries surrounding our passing. Ideas about our eternal existence have captivated humanity, prompting the creation of a life-after-death book.

Dying is one of humanity’s most vexing questions. Regardless of how we live, all of us and everyone we know will someday die. Death is indeed man’s greatest equalizer as it levels us all. Now, what happens after we’ve kicked the bucket? Does our existence cease to exist? Is it truly the end of it all? Various cultures and religions offer diverse perspectives on our inevitable transition, inspiring deep reflection and philosophical inquiry.

This blog will delve into what has been written about life after death, explicitly focusing on Christian insights that seek to understand the afterlife. This write-up aims to understand what God says about what lies beyond our earthly existence.

What Happens When We Die? What Does God Say

The concept of life after death varies across religious traditions and interpretations of sacred texts. True enough, our ideas about what happens to us after we differ. In Christianity, the concepts of Heaven and Hell, resurrection, and judgment are highly revered.  Jesus’ teachings about life after death highlight faith in Him as the path to eternal life.

Christians generally believe in eternal life, where individuals go to heaven or hell based on their faith in Jesus Christ and their actions during life (e.g., John 3:16, Matthew 25:46). The reality of heaven as a place of reward and joy for the faithful. Many Christians believe in the resurrection of the dead at the end of time, as described in 1 Corinthians 15—the certainty of resurrection and judgment for all. Moreover, there is an emphasis on divine judgment, where God evaluates each person’s deeds (Revelation 20:12). The urgency of repentance and living a life aligned with God’s will.

Throughout the Bible, Jesus spoke extensively about life after death, offering hope, guidance, and warnings. His teachings are central to Christian beliefs about eternal life and the resurrection.

As recorded in the New Testament, Jesus described heaven as a place prepared for His followers, a realm of joy and communion with God: John 14:2-3: “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am.”

Hell awaits those who do not repent for their sins. Hence, Jesus encourages us to live well and be accountable for our actions. We may not do this perfectly. We are human, after all. But we can always do something to right our wrongs. We must choose to do the right thing for our salvation to enter the kingdom of God. Jesus often spoke of a final judgment, where individuals are held accountable for their actions: Matthew 25:31-46: In the parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus describes the separation of the righteous (who inherit eternal life) from the wicked (who face eternal punishment).

God promised eternal life to those who believe in Him. Jesus often referred to eternal life as entering the Kingdom of God: Mark 10:29-30: “Truly I tell you, no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age…and in the age to come eternal life.”

Life After Death Book: Building a Stronger Connection with God

Dr. Julius Mosley II observed that people often fail to focus on what is truly important. He noted a tendency to disregard life after death despite the encouragement to prioritize seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness. In his book “LIVING LIFE WITH BLINDERS ON: Living Life As God Intended,” Dr. Mosley challenges the notion that our earthly existence is all there is, urging readers to contemplate the significance of the choices we make during our lifetime. He stresses that the opportunity to make those choices will be irrevocably lost once we pass from this physical realm.

“Living Life with Blinders On” is a thought-provoking book designed to awaken readers to the realities of life after death. It delves into the complexities of human nature, revealing that many of our behaviors and attitudes can be traced back to an inherited sinful nature. This cursed disposition creates a barrier between us and God, making it inherently difficult to please Him while fully bound by such limitations.

It encourages readers to reflect on their lives, reconcile with their choices, and understand the importance of spiritual awakening before it is too late. The book serves as an invitation to introspection and a compelling reminder of the eternal stakes in our earthly journey.

We should always remind ourselves that true transformation comes from a renewed spirit and a deeper connection with God. Be guided in understanding God and how He designed us to live with “LIVING LIFE WITH BLINDERS ON: Living Life As God Intended” by Dr. Julius Mosley II. The book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
