We often live life thinking we’re on the right path—working hard, taking care of family, attending church. But how often do we stop and truly ask ourselves: Am I spiritually awake? Or am I walking through life unaware of what really matters?
Spiritual blindness isn’t reserved for atheists or nonbelievers. Many well-meaning, religious people are walking in darkness—thinking that morality, kindness, or tradition are enough to please God. But Jesus was clear in Matthew 7:14 when He said, “Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Few. That should make us pause.
The truth is, many of us have accepted a watered-down version of faith that fits comfortably into our lifestyle. We avoid conviction, ignore Scripture, and rely on self-help instead of surrender. We live as if we’ve got it all figured out—yet remain blind to the condition of our soul.
Spiritual blindness is dangerous because it keeps us from seeing our need for salvation. It keeps us focused on things that don’t matter eternally—careers, money, popularity—while ignoring the One who created us for something greater.
If you’ve never asked yourself, “Where am I headed eternally?” or “Am I living according to God’s truth or my own ideas?”—this is your sign to dig deeper.
You don’t have to walk in darkness. Jesus came to give sight to the blind—not just physically, but spiritually. It’s time to take off the blinders.
